Job summary

Catholic Relief Services seeks a MEAL advisor to provide technical guidance on humanitarian response programs, focusing on large projects and applying program quality standards to regional and country teams. Your expertise will help determine how effective, adaptive and innovative MEAL activities are across CRS emergency responses.

You will support data collection, indicators, learning, and reporting, contributing to adaptive and innovative MEAL activities across CRS emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital data collection systems in humanitarian settings.
• Strong data quality assurance, data management and visualization skills.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, and training using adult learning principles.
• Ability to develop and adapt monitoring systems, indicators and data collection approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑sectorally with partners, donors and governments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices in Humanitarian Response.
• Deploy in emergency responses to support MEAL systems design, data collection, indicators and reporting.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to regional and country teams.
• Support proposal development and emergency response design, including monitoring systems and data use.
• Help strengthen country MEAL systems, digital data collection and reporting tools.
• Contribute to capacity strengthening through trainings, workshops, and coaching.
• Maintain relationships with donors and partner institutions to promote CRS work.
