Job summary

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a global MEAL advisor to provide technical guidance on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning for large humanitarian responses. You will support regional and country teams, develop indicators, and help integrate donor requirements across CRS emergency programming.

The role requires experience in MEAL systems design, data collection tools, and real-time evaluation methods, with readiness to travel as deployments occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, statistics, humanitarian response or related field.
• Eight years of international/humanitarian advisory or management experience.
• At least three years as a MEAL technical advisor or MEAL manager, with overseas work.
• Experience developing proposals for external donor funding.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement agency-wide MEAL strategies, tools and standards.
• Provide remote and on-site MEAL support to regional and country teams.
• Support design, monitoring systems and data collection approaches for emergencies.
• Assist in proposal development and alignment with donor strategies.
• Strengthen capacity through trainings and mentoring for CRS and partners.
