Job summary

The Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a salaried leadership nurse to oversee the Center’s Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS) process, ensuring timely and accurate assessments in accordance with CMS guidelines.

As a key leader, you will guide an experienced MDS team, collaborate with nursing, therapy, billing and facility leadership, manage regulatory compliance and reimbursement, and uphold high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with current state license; AANAC certification preferred.
• Experience in geriatric nursing and MDS processes.
• Thorough knowledge of CPCS system and MDS rules.
• Understanding of SNF Part A Medicare and consolidated billing.

Responsibilities

• Manage calendar for MDS timeframe and coordinate across departments.
• Coordinate timely, accurate MDS completions.
• Verify MDS completeness by attestation process.
• Notify administrator of errors affecting MDS accuracy.
• Coordinate patient care plan meetings with other departments.
• Collaborate with therapy and nursing to select reference states.
• Perform other duties and ensure resident safety.
