Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Managing Director for Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services) in a hybrid US role. You will lead client engagements, guide accounting practices, and supervise teams to deliver accurate financial services for investment clients.

With 15+ years in alternative assets and an accounting background, you will drive improvements, ensure audits and tax filings, and contribute to strategic growth while collaborating across global teams and locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the alternative investment management industry (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate).
• BSBA in accounting and CPA licensed; in-house experience beneficial.
• Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, with strong management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements with attention to detail and clear communication.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite and Sage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client lead, building strong relationships and guiding clients on accounting principles and processes.
• Lead and mentor teams to foster collaboration, ensure timely deliverables, and drive operational improvements.
• Oversee audits, tax filings, NAV reporting, and fee calculations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
• Manage onboarding, cash management, budgeting, and advisory services to align client expectations and support growth.
• Supervise direct reports, contribute to department leadership, and participate in meetings and training initiatives.
