Job summary

VSolvit LLC seeks a Software Architect to provide technical leadership for the design, development, and integration of complex systems within a SAFe environment. The role applies MBSE using SysML and DoDAF to define architectures, analyze requirements, manage risk, and support digital engineering throughout the program.

Travel is required quarterly to Chesapeake, VA. An active DoD Secret Clearance and Level-1 IAT certification are required, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• IAT Certification (A+, Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP) at Level 1 or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with word processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system architecture, technical baselines, and architecture roadmaps for complex programs and mission systems.
• Develop and communicate architectural vision across SAFe ARTs, Product Management, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain architecture runway to support future capabilities and technology insertion.
• Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies and SysML/DoDAF.
• Create and manage SysML models including requirements, behavior, structure, interfaces, and parametric diagrams.
• Ensure model traceability from stakeholder needs through requirements to implementation.
• Develop and maintain DoDAF-compliant architecture products and viewpoints.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability from mission objectives through implementation and verification.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks; ensure cybersecurity compliance (DoD, Navy, federal).
• Support RMF, Zero Trust Architecture, and secure-by-design initiatives.
