Job summary

VSolvit is seeking a Software Architect to provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and evolution of complex systems within a SAFe environment. The role applies MBSE using SysML/DoDAF to define architectures and support digital engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing architecture roadmaps, communicating across ARTs and stakeholders, and ensuring traceability from objectives to implementation while maintaining DoDAF artifacts and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Active Level 1 or higher IAT certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with word processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system architecture, baselines, and roadmaps for complex programs and mission systems.
• Develop and communicate architectural vision across ARTs, Product Management, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain architecture runway to support future capabilities and technology insertion.
• Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies and SysML.
• Create and manage SysML models including requirements, behavior, structure, interfaces, and parametric diagrams.
• Ensure model traceability between stakeholder needs, system requirements, architecture artifacts, and implementation.
• Develop and maintain DoDAF-compliant architecture products and viewpoints.
• Maintain requirements traceability from objectives through implementation and verification.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with architecture decisions and system implementation.
• Ensure architectural compliance with DoD, Navy, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Support RMF, Zero Trust Architecture, and secure-by-design initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned
