Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Richardson, TX seeks a Sr. Materials Manager to lead a 15+ person materials team and shape strategy across production control, scheduling, inventory, logistics, and 3PL performance.

The role focuses on ensuring reliable operations, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery. You will own the inventory plan, drive continuous improvement, manage staffing, and oversee end-to-end materials processes from raw inputs to finished goods.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
• Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 7 years of experience.
• ERP experience required; capacity planning or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience with direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the inventory plan across Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods.
• Ensure on-time delivery to production lines and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment processes.
• Lead continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP control.
• Staff workload planning and development of employees.
• Oversee end-to-end materials process, including planning, scheduling, logistics and inventory initiatives.
• Monitor metrics: Inventory, NITO, MPS Adherence.
