Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee the Materials department, including scheduling, shipping, receiving, distribution and production planning, with guidance from plant and operations managers.

You will lead a team, drive supplier coordination, ensure certifications, maintain data in CMS and MS Office, and participate in cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a related field; strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee materials scheduling, customer service, shipping/receiving, distribution and production scheduling.
• Lead and mentor Materials department team; coordinate with plant and operations managers.
• Maintain ECNs, NAFTAs, MRP and CMS inventory accuracy; manage supplier information and certifications.
• Collaborate with Corporate Purchasing to review quotations, negotiate with vendors and pursue cost savings.
• Prepare and update supplier ratings and participate in APQP meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS and Enviro.14001 requirements and maintain documentation.
