Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah seeks a Materials & Process Engineer specializing in sealants, adhesives, coatings, and non-metallic bonding of aircraft structures. You will apply epoxy chemistry, surface preparation, and NDI to ensure environmental and aerodynamic performance, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve MRB issues on in-production aircraft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng exp with Bachelor's.
• Experience with aerospace sealants, adhesives, polymers, coatings; MRB knowledge.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification and MIL-STD/AMS/ASTM/CMH-17 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead an entire engineering project of major complexity within scope.
• Make technical decisions with important impact on engineering activities.
• Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering tasks.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/suppliers to meet program goals.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineering staff.
• Prepare test plans and test reports; review M&P documentation.
• Interrogate 3D designs for M&P requirements.
