Job summary

Whisker is seeking a Materials Manager to drive the end-to-end materials strategy for its manufacturing operations in Wisconsin. You will lead procurement, production planning, inventory control, and BOM-related processes to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing service, inventory, and cost.

You will supervise a team of approximately 9 salaried staff, 8 hourly workers, and 30 warehouse personnel, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Marketing/Demand Planning to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Materials leadership roles within manufacturing/assembly.
• Experience managing purchasing, planning, supplier and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee material resource planning to balance inventory vs. production needs.
• Lead buyers to ensure timely purchase orders and supplier communication.
• Manage production planning/scheduling to meet demand and lead times.
• Drive capacity planning and cross-functional collaboration to meet goals.
• Improve material flows, warehouse management, and BOM processes.
• Support S&OP processes with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams.
