Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corp’s Parflex Plant in Manitowoc, WI seeks a Materials Manager to lead supply chain planning, materials scheduling, inventory control, and asset management in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will direct procurement activities, optimize data accuracy in the MRP system, and mentor the materials team while supporting lean initiatives and government procurement compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years purchasing/materials management in a world-class, high volume manufacturing environment.
Experience with state-of-the-art materials management systems including supply chain management, cash flow and asset management, JIT, MRPII, cellular manufacturing.
Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management.
Certification in materials management and quality preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with suppliers, business unit managers, purchasing, other material managers and production planners, IT and other resources to coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery.
Matrix management responsibilities for production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.
Provide direct leadership and management of materials management functions.
Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including supplier evaluation and price negotiation.
Accountable for location/division materials metrics and Standards of Performance.
