Job summary

Whisker is seeking a Materials Manager to lead end-to-end material flow for manufacturing operations in Juneau, WI. You will supervise procurement, production planning, inventory control, and BOM-related processes to improve service, inventory, and cost.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Marketing/Demand Planning to support growth, new product launches, and exceptional customer experiences. Seniority may elevate this role to Senior Materials Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and/or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Materials Leadership, preferably in a Manufacturing or Assembly environment.
• Prior management experience leading purchasing, planning, supplier, and inventory management personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees material resource planning to maintain inventory levels.
• Leads buyers to ensure on-time delivery of components.
• Oversees production planning/scheduling to meet demand and lead times.
• Lead capacity planning to meet strategic goals.
• Identify solutions to supply chain challenges with cross-functional teams.
• Support S&OP processes with various teams.
• Manage warehouses, receiving, storage, and transfers.
• Maintain accurate inventories via cycle counts and physical counts.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on BOM builds and new programs.
• Drive continuous improvement across the department.
