Jobot is seeking a Permanent Materials Planner in Conneaut, OH to coordinate and execute material planning activities, ensuring production efficiency and optimal resource use.

The role requires a solid background in production planning, inventory management, ERP systems, and forecasting, with strong analytical and negotiation skills to collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (Supply Chain, Business, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years in materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with production planning, inventory management, ERP, procurement and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials planning strategies to meet production needs.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
• Use ERP systems to track materials, forecast needs, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Lead procurement activities including sourcing and supplier relationships.
• Conduct accurate forecasting to schedule deliveries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports on materials planning performance.
