Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in materials engineering or R&D, preferably supporting electromechanical or connector products.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and recommend metallic and polymeric materials for electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental performance.
• Assess manufacturability with stamping, molding, machining, plating, and assembly processes.
• Document material selection rationale and risks for DFMEA and qualification.
• Collaborate with analysis, simulation, and testing teams to improve design confidence.
• Support material-related failure analysis and supplier evaluation across global sites.
