Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Multi-Disciplined Engineer to perform chemical analysis on materials such as adhesives, polymers, tapes, composites, and metals. You will evaluate conformance to specifications and conduct root cause failure analyses in a fast-paced lab environment.

This onsite role requires lifting 22 lbs, coordinating with engineers, SMEs, and suppliers, and delivering timely engineering solutions within days or weeks. A U.S. security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience in Thermal Analysis and Characterization Techniques (e.g., DSC, DMA, TGA, CTE, TC).
• Experience in Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis including Infrared Spectroscopy and Chromatography (e.g., FTIR, GCMS, HPLC, GPC).

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis on materials (adhesives, polymers, tapes, composites, metals).
• Assess materials against specifications or conduct root cause failure analyses.
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to deliver timely engineering solutions in a lab setting.
