Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a seasoned materials lead for on-site work across product lines, focusing on low observable radar materials and system integration. You will guide material development, characterization, and supplier interactions to ensure performance of advanced signature control techniques.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years (or an advanced degree with 7+ years), and an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
Experience in Low Observables or Radar materials.
Experience in material characterization, performance testing/prediction, design experience, and integration onto air vehicles.
Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

Material and process development, characterization and system level integration across Raytheon product lines and new business.
Material performance predictions and measurement tests of developmental and production systems.
Perform material measurements of constitutive and RF attenuation properties and generate predicted material performance using Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM) tools.
Work in integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products.
Material formulation and development; fabrication process development; composites operations support.
Material testing and characterization (RF, mechanical, physical).
Preparation of engineering documentation; customer and supplier interface; program reviews; project management; mentor early career engineers.
