Job summary

State of Oklahoma at Bill Johnson Correctional Center is seeking a Materiel Management Specialist IV to manage the procurement, storage, control, issuance and delivery of materials and equipment essential to agency operations.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating with purchasing, performing inventories, and maintaining detailed warehouse records. Four years of stock handling and inventory experience are required; travel may be required; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in stock handling, warehousing and inventory control or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives, issues, ships and arranges materials, equipment, records, agency mail and other in proper locations using machinery as needed.
• Provides centralized mail services and/or performs centralized printing functions.
• Inspects items for conformance with specifications.
• Conducts inventories and maintains records, files reports and performs necessary administrative duties.
• Assists requisitioners in preparation of specifications.
• liaises with agency purchasing agents and central purchasing.
• Supervises and trains subordinate personnel and edits requisitions and purchase orders.
• Coordinates with department heads, vendors, and outside agencies concerning purchases, deliveries, and acceptability of supplies.
