Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Material Handler in our Evident Inspection Technologies division, onsite in Waltham, MA. The role emphasizes receiving, picking and put-away of inventory, with complex tasks for a level-five specialist who resolves issues independently.

Applicants should have 2–4 years in a stockroom or shipping/receiving role, be able to lift 50 lbs, and be proficient with MRPs and MS Office. A 5% annual bonus target is offered along with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 2–4 years in stockroom or shipping/receiving.
• Functional knowledge of MRP systems preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores and distributes materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods against orders, invoices and work orders.
• Maintains records of received goods.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs and may operate a forklift.
• Stocks and distributes materials on inventory/manufacturing lines.
• Kits work orders with scanners and delivers to correct location.
• Records labor time accurately and uses proper G/L accounts.
• Performs cycle counts and drives root-cause analysis for discrepancies.
• Participates in continuous improvement and implements ideas.
