Job summary

Avantor in Waltham, MA is hiring for a material handler role supporting inventory management, shipping/receiving, and distribution. Shift is 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Hourly pay range is $22.00 - $24.03 with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in sample logistics, lab operations, shipping/receiving, warehousing or supply chain.
• Familiarity with domestic/international shipping processes and documentation.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments with accuracy.
• Maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, and report shortages.
• Store materials per safety rules and rotate stock using FIFO/FEFO.
• Pick, pack, and deliver materials to labs and production areas; update customers.
• Follow GMP/GLP/GxP compliance and participate in safety audits.
