Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Waste Handling Associate to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks. Responsibilities include loading and unloading containers, operating equipment, documenting processing paperwork, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 9–12 months general labor experience, and forklift experience is preferred. Training in safety and material handling is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 9–12 months general labor experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Master all four components (CSB/ADA, TRB, Bulk Ramp, TSDF) and work in any area with efficiency.
• Follow procedures and processes.
• Use systems to create processing paperwork or labels.
• Load/unload containers of various sizes using mechanical or manual methods.
• Construct boxes/containers, labels, and load containers.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
• Transport hazardous waste within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per RCRA guidelines.
• Complete necessary paperwork for processing materials and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
