Job summary

Magna International Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting is seeking a seasoned Master Scheduler to lead long- and short-range material planning, balancing production needs with supplier capacity. You will manage forecasting, inventory, and procurement activities across multiple plants in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role requires deep experience in MRP, Excel, and ERP systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive process improvements within Magna’s global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs.
• Able to lead/supervise others under internal pressures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, BAAN, EDI, and MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.
• APICS certification.
• 10 years’ progressive experience with applicable coursework and certifications.
• Experience in product development and understanding of product life cycles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage forecast for long- and short-range material planning while considering inventory, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement and efficiencies.
• Improve forecast accuracy and inventory turnover; support scheduling tools and MRP; drive shop floor scheduling improvements.
• Coordinate and plan materials requirements for new product introductions, including review of BOMs and cut‑in dates.
• Review material shortages and safety stock levels with Purchasing and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements.
• Propose changes when needed and assist in resolving MRP and planning discrepancies.
• Drive communication with Operations to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
