Job summary

Abaco Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Master Scheduler to align customer demand with production capacity and inventory. You will act as a liaison among Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, PM, and Customer Service to optimize flow and delivery performance.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in master scheduling or production planning, with experience in high-mix, low-volume environments and aerospace/defense contexts. Knowledge of MPS, MRP, and SIOP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or highly regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support demand and objectives.
• Coordinate production schedules across manufacturing to optimize resources and meet delivery commitments.
• Analyze demand, backlog, forecasts, and inventory to establish production priorities.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, PM, and Operations to ensure material availability and schedule feasibility.
• Monitor capacity constraints and adjust schedules to maximize throughput.
• Provide data-driven recommendations with SIOP leadership.
• Identify schedule risks related to material shortages, changes, supplier performance, and demand fluctuations.
• Generate production plans and communicate key schedule metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning, scheduling, inventory management, and throughput.
• Support new product introductions, engineering change orders, and program transitions through effective scheduling.
