Job summary

KCAS Bio, a fast-growing contract research organization, is seeking a Scientist III in the Mass Spectrometry Bioanalysis group at our Kansas City site. You will execute critical LC-MS/MS analyses, contribute to method development, and ensure data integrity through rigorous documentation, driving studies from setup to reporting.

You will mentor junior staff, communicate progress to senior scientists, and help maintain compliance with GLP/GxP standards while advancing bioanalytical science in drug

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of LC-MS/MS experience.
• Strong bioanalytical sample preparation and quantitative LC-MS/MS.
• Experience with method development, qualification, and complex troubleshooting.
• Experience with proteins/peptides and small molecule biomarkers preferred.
• GLP/GxP regulated environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute study components: sample prep, LC-MS/MS, troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation.
• Contribute to method development, qualification, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and propose solutions.
• Analyze data with minimal oversight and prepare summaries for reports.
• Ensure study activities comply with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate progress to senior scientists.
