Job summary

KCAS Bio in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Sr. Scientist to lead LC-MS/MS bioanalysis studies in a GLP environment. You will manage study execution from setup through reporting, and ensure data integrity while troubleshooting issues.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with QA, and maintain strong client communications. This role emphasizes regulatory compliance, timely deliverables, and a commitment to quality science within a fast-growing CRO.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with at least 5 years of experience in a bioanalytical lab.
• Experience in GLP-regulated laboratory environments.
• Proficiency in LC-MS/MS workflows and data review.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee all phases of studies including LC-MS/MS analysis and report generation.
• Act as lead scientist, providing guidance and training to junior staff.
• Manage client communication related to study conduct and data delivery.
• Coordinate with QAU to resolve audit findings and compliance issues.
• Resolve discrepancies in sample identification with clinical sites.
• Ensure study timelines and deliverables are met and communicated to management.
• Ensure compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and GLP requirements.
• Review data for accuracy and integrity prior to reporting.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for assay performance in production.
