Job summary

KCAS Bio, a fast-growing CRO in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an Analyst I in Mass Spec Bioanalysis Development. The role supports bioanalytical studies through sample preparation, data processing, and documentation, learning KCAS laboratory processes and building technical skills alongside experienced scientists.

You will work with LC-MS/MS methods to meet bioanalytical needs for drug discovery and clinical studies, while following SOPs and ensuring quality and traceability across all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Foundational laboratory experience from academic, internship, or industry work.
• Basic understanding of analytical chemistry, chromatography, and/or mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory activities including sample preparation, solutions, reagents and materials per procedures.
• Support LC-MS/MS analysis with training and guidance.
• Process data and maintain accurate documentation per study protocols and SOPs.
• Ensure proper sample identification, handling, storage and tracking.
• Escalate deviations to senior staff.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and workspace for efficient study execution.
• Align work with KCAS Bio's mission, vision and values.
