Job summary

WCL Group in Plano, TX, seeks an experienced procurement leader to manage marketing procurement for retail campaigns, RFx processes, and vendor onboarding. This is a 12-month, on-site contract with strong potential for extension or conversion to full-time.

You will negotiate rates with agencies and suppliers, verify contracts, and coordinate across risk, finance, and legal to ensure compliant, competitive terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience at the client company in procurement or a related field.
• Proven expertise in marketing procurement with a focus on retail campaigns.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead competitive bidding and quote processes for marketing initiatives, focusing on retail campaigns, in-store marketing, POS and promotions.
• Develop and manage RFx events (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for agencies and suppliers.
• Maintain local and global competitive bidding standards and policies for retail marketing.
• Prepare reports to Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure processes meet policy expectations.
• Translate annual/seasonal plans into a sourcing roadmap with stakeholders.
• Negotiate rate and term strategies with agencies and marketing suppliers.
• Review contracts to ensure pricing and scope align with negotiations.
• Validate new marketing vendor requests with risk, finance, and legal onboarding.
• Identify gaps and implement process improvements in workflows/tools.
