AAA Mountain West Group in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Senior Marketing Performance Analyst to track and interpret marketing efforts across all channels. You will work with product management, product marketing, and digital teams to provide a comprehensive view of marketing performance for all lines of business.

The role requires 8+ years in marketing analytics, strong data visualization skills, and expertise with SQL, Python or R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in marketing/performance analytics.
• Experience presenting analyses to stakeholders at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations across the marketing ecosystem.
• Identify targeting, revenue, and operational efficiency opportunities.
• Conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses for product owners and stakeholders.

NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Walnut Creek, CA office.

The Senior Marketing Performance Analyst will be responsible for tracking and interpreting marketing efforts and campaigns across all channels.

You will work hand-in-hand with the product management, product marketing, marketing intelligence, and digital teams to provide a comprehensive view of marketing performance for all lines of business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Marketing Reporting & Analysis: Create and deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations based on performance across the entire marketing ecosystem.
• Leverage technical expertise to identify opportunities for targeting, revenue opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
• Run deep dive and ad-hoc analyses for product owners and other stakeholders.
• Foster & leverage strong, cross-functional collaboration with peers in Brand & Insights, Marketing Intelligence, Digital, IT, and Product teams.
• Uphold standards for data tagging, tracking, and field usage to ensure accurate, privacy-compliant data collection and measurement.
• Partner with the marketing product & digital teams and provide tools, guidance, and best practices for reporting on and analysis of campaign performance.

Insights & Solutions

• Provide recommendations and solutions for campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide meaningful insights that enable tangible improvements and inform strategic decisions.

Mentoring & Leadership

• Provide technical training & guidance to junior analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Marketing Intelligence team.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Strong problem-solving skills with a shift from purely descriptive analytics to predictive and prescriptive insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting analyses to stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Demonstrated talent for effectively visualizing complex data landscapes to easily convey trends, insights, and recommendations using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, or R to query large databases and manipulate complex datasets, alongside platform expertise in GA4, Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Data Cloud, Supermetrics, etc.
• Intellectually curious, highly collaborative, with a strong bias toward action and continuous learning.
• Detail-oriented, focused on driving results and analyzing data to gain insights and opportunities for growth.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

• Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field, or the equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a marketing and/or performance analytics focused role.

Compensation Range

Min: $132,465.00 - Mid: $165,580.00

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis.
