Job summary

Apartment List, Inc. is expanding its MarTech function to bring Marketing Engineering to the forefront.

You will define the technical strategy for AI and agentic workflows, building a data foundation spanning renter behavior, pricing signals, and channel engagement to accelerate campaigns. You will design, build, and ship production AI agents and integrations, partner with Marketing leadership, and establish scalable patterns for future hires, translating technical work into tangible business

Qualifications

• Deep experience blending marketing execution with engineering, guiding technical direction.
• Strong programming ability and end-to-end automation, API integrations, data pipelines.
• Hands-on with custom AI agents and practical agentic workflows.
• Ability to operate with minimal direction in undefined mandates.
• Experience pulling external data into marketing foundations for reuse.
• Proven systems thinking and scalable solutions across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for AI/automation across marketing.
• Build data foundations linking renter behavior, pricing signals, and channels.
• Design, build, and ship production AI agents and automations across channels.
• Lead evaluation of LLM data inclusion and gaps in OpenAI/Claude and others.
• Set standards for rethinking processes with human-in-the-loop models.
• Integrate marketing data requirements with broader engineering standards.
• Run workflows as testable hypotheses and codify best practices.
