Job summary

Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) seeks an Associate Director of Marketing and Communications to act as the lead strategist for marketing, communications, and public relations for the CVM and Veterinary Medical Hospital.

The role will guide content across traditional and digital channels, manage external relations, and translate complex veterinary science into accessible materials for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree conferred in Journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English or related field.
• Five years post baccalaureate experience with expertise in marketing and communications; supervisory experience required.
• Experience in healthcare marketing and animal health industry is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies for both CVM and Veterinary Medical Hospital.
• Supervise staff, student workers, and coordinate with vendors/consultants.
• Create integrated campaigns to promote clinical services for small and large animal clients.
• Build and maintain the college and hospital's brand identity across platforms.
• Develop client acquisition and retention strategies for hospital services.
