Job summary
Target in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Manager on the Market Research & Analysis team to drive market insight, store-location strategy, and forecasting for capital investments. You will partner with Finance, Real Estate, Operations, Stores and Merchandising to shape holistic market plans and communicate to senior leadership.
You will own forecasting accuracy across markets, evaluate tradeoffs, and contribute to improving GIS and data analyses. 20–25% travel expected.
Qualifications
- MA/MBA or equivalent in business, geography, urban planning or related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant business experience.
- Strong analytical, decision‑making, project management and organizational skills.
- Superior leadership with collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Market analysis, strategic planning and location research for store investments.
- Partner across Market Research, Finance, Real Estate, Operations, Stores and Merchandising.
- Own store sales forecasting across markets and evaluate location attributes and market trends.
- Present insights to Senior Leadership and the Capital Committee.
- Contribute to improving research methodologies, GIS, databases and analytical tools.
