Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a systems analyst to define and perform development tasks that enhance workflow and operating efficiency across applications. You will analyze current systems, propose improvements, and estimate cost savings with input from business lines and IT.

Responsibilities include modifying applications, documenting processes, writing test plans, and communicating standards to management and staff to ensure compliant reporting and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically four or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of policies, plans, procedures, products and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze business needs and coordinate meetings.
• Good understanding of project management and testing methodologies.
• Ability to develop test schedules and track results.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Define and perform systems analysis and development tasks to improve workflow and operating efficiency.
• Formulate proposals for new systems and information needs by analyzing existing systems and procedures and defining recommended improvements.
• Estimate costs and potential savings from proposed changes and communicate results to management.
• Modify existing applications or develop new ones as needed.
• Act as a liaison between management, staff and information systems to define standards and reporting.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Write test plans, perform tests, and develop communication tools for policy awareness.
