K&L Gates LLP seeks a Market Development Senior Manager to lead marketing and business development for the Texas market. The role focuses on building brand awareness, client engagement, and office growth across Austin, Dallas and Houston, reporting to the Client Growth team.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in marketing/BD in professional services, excellent communication, and strong stakeholder management. MBA preferred; CRM experience beneficial; office-based in TX.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of marketing, business development and/or sales experience in a professional services firm or similar environment.
• MBA or similar graduate-level degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the global marketplace for professional services.
• High level of maturity and confidence to interact with sophisticated clients.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and set strategy for market development goals.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence and stakeholder management.
• Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development aspects of strategic office plans and budgets with independent execution.
• Maintain knowledge of the Texas market and regional industries for legal services.
• Identify expansion opportunities and align firm solutions to client needs.
• Drive partnerships with local organizations and host events for visibility and opportunities.
• Foster a culture of business development through communications, trainings and support.
• Collaborate with Client Growth teams to deliver meaningful programming to the market.
• Develop direct report teams and provide ongoing feedback for professional growth.
• Measure and report outcomes of initiatives and lead lead-generation programs.
