Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC seeks a Master Course Approval SME (Top-Level Deck Mariner) to support the National Maritime Center's Mariner Credentialing Program. You will review mariner training course requests and draft responses ensuring conformance with regulatory requirements, applying senior deck mariner expertise to course content and credentialing matters.

Qualifications

• Must hold or have held a MMC endorsed as Master of Unlimited Tonnage on Oceans or Chief Mate Unlimited Oceans.
• Minimum of 5 years sailing experience on that credential.
• Preferred: Experience in writing or developing training courses.
• A valid STCW certificate is not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft appropriate responses for mariner course approvals regarding conformance to regulatory requirements.
• Provide top-level deck SME input to review and evaluation of mariner training courses.
• Support the full range of technical services needed to meet NMC mission needs.
