Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Newport News seeks a Senior Program Manager for Maritime Business to lead and oversee programs delivering critical capabilities to defense and OEM clients. You will manage mechanical actuation device programs for the nation’s surface and sub-surface fleets, engaging with Newport News Shipbuilding, the U.S.

Navy, and suppliers. You will drive proposal development, manage customer relationships with proactive communication on RFIs, RFPs, and deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of program management or related roles in defense.
• Strong understanding of PM principles, financial metrics, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Able to travel up to 10%.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Navy and OEM customers and suppliers.
• Deliver programs within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Present program status and plans to senior Honeywell stakeholders and customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, ISC, Finance, Pricing, Contracts, and Customer Support.
• Manage and report program financials per PM processes.
• Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and pursue new business opportunities.
