Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an experienced Senior Maritime Engineer to support Navy and DoD customers, delivering multidisciplinary engineering across planning, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems. You will work with government customers, engineers, program managers, and subcontractors to translate operational needs into executable solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting Navy/DoD maritime programs and projects.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specifications and technical data packages.
• Experience with system integration, testing, evaluation, and verification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Navy installations, shipyards, and field sites.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance or installation access.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for Navy maritime, waterfront, and ocean engineering programs and projects.
• Support planning, design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of maritime systems and equipment.
• Apply engineering principles to evaluate requirements, identify solutions, and support technical decisions.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, data packages, calculations, and manuals.
• Develop and review engineering designs, analyses, plans, and deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate activities involving vessels, waterfront infrastructure, and handling equipment.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; support configuration management.
