Job summary

LVI Associates in the United States seeks a Marine & Waterfront Engineering Manager to lead delivery of technically challenging coastal projects across New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. You will own projects from concept through construction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging clients.

The role requires a PE licence, a civil/marine engineering degree, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in marine or waterfront work.

Qualifications

• PE licence required.
• Degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Marine, Geotechnical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience delivering marine, waterfront, or coastal projects.
• Strong understanding of marine structures, shoreline protection systems, coastal resilience, and waterfront infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of coastal adaptation, sustainability, and risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, permitting, and execution of marine and waterfront engineering projects.
• Manage assessment, rehabilitation, and design of coastal and waterfront structures.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technical staff, contractors, and specialist consultants.
• Oversee project performance, ensuring delivery against schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design packages, construction documents, specifications, and engineering studies.
• Develop project scopes, resource plans, staffing forecasts, and fee proposals.
• Support funding applications, project submissions, and client presentations.
