Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a motivated, self‑starter to join our Portsmouth, New Hampshire office as a Waterfront Project Manager. The successful candidate will have a background in structural design of transportation and/or waterfront structures.

The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of waterfront facility design and inspection projects, including piers, wharves, seawalls, bulkheads, jetties, breakwaters, revetments, and marinas. This position is available for work from either the New Hampshire or Rhode Island office.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Independently performs moderately difficult engineering calculations involving conventional engineering practices.
• Uses computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Performs inspection work and directs inspection staff on waterfront facility assessment projects.
• Conducts field work, which may include nights and weekends.
• Prepares and oversees complete engineering plan and report development.
• Provides construction support services, in the office and on the field, to ensure conformance with design plans and specifications.
• Manages project schedules and ensures timely completion of projects.
• Monitors project budgets and works directly with clients.
• Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
• Assists in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating project costs, project planning, and project quality.
• Directs and supervises the work of entry‑level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
• Other duties may be assigned.
