Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an Experienced Naval Architect/Engineer to join our Construction Engineering Services group. You will support a large fleet by performing design calculations, planning vessel modifications, and ensuring compliance with marine standards, working alongside construction teams.

The role requires a strong background in naval architecture, structural analysis, hydrostatics, stability, and coordination with class societies and USCG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or related field is required.
• Marine background and experience is required.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• 8+ years of marine/naval engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret hydraulic, electrical, mechanical drawings and regulations (ABS, Lloyds, DNV, USCG).

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews and evaluate constructability with engineering supervision.
• Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work on projects.
• Develop vessel designs, analyze hull structures, hydrostatics and stability.
• Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
• Interface with classification societies and USCG to attain/maintain class certificates.
• Travel/relocate to project sites as required.
