Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to own production test flow, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and drive automation across MES and test equipment.

You will collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to scale production, develop failure-mode libraries, and optimize test strategies for efficiency and quality while maintaining high standards of reliability and security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields or 10+ years experience.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Experience with safety protocols for high-voltage systems (208V 3-phase, 480V).
• Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW and/or MATLAB for data parsing and data visualization.
• Familiar with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensuring production test flow; troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream and verification testing.
• Improve and sustain existing test systems to improve automation, consistency and test coverage (DFM).
• Generate test work instructions for MES and train technicians on equipment use.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to support returns and failure analysis.
• Provide feedback to early-stage test design for NPIs.
• Analyze test data, document results, and produce reports identifying defects and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and quality, reduce test time.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Execute testing as required.
