Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor at the Hutchinson, MN site to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and drive safe, high‑quality production. You will mentor cross‑functional teams, analyze process data, and align engineering deliverables with plant goals while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of combined engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Eight (8) years of combined engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Experience supervising manufacturing engineers and/or hourly personnel.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with compounding, coating, slitting and/or converting processes.
• Experience effectively using and analyzing process data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and directing a team of manufacturing engineers
• Supports safely and efficiently manufacturing quality products in their area of responsibility
• Ensuring that engineering deliverables are aligned with the goals and timelines of the plant
• Developing the technical abilities of the operational manufacturing engineering team
• Fostering an environment of continuous improvement
