Job summary

3M is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Knoxville, IA to lead a diversified engineering team, partner with Supply Chain, and drive asset optimization, safety and performance improvements across the site. The role also involves guiding capital investments and coordinating with global teams to implement advanced manufacturing technologies.

Requires a BS, 7+ years in manufacturing/engineering/quality, and 3+ years in leadership; Lean/Six Sigma and cross-functional collaboration are a

Qualifications

BS degree required.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
3+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead collaboration with Business and Enterprise Supply Chain teams to establish site strategies and improve cost, service and performance.
Lead a diversified team of engineers to identify, prioritize, and execute improvement plans.
Champion CAPEX projects driving safety, quality, service, cost and technology improvements.
Identify and drive high-impact Value Stream Improvement Plans (VSIPs).
Engage with Knoxville EHS initiatives to improve site safety culture and performance.
Coordinate NPIs and development activities in support of site and business growth, and support MOC/CMP processes.
