Job summary

3M is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Cottage Grove, MN for a 7 days on/7 days off rotating shift. You will lead a production team, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across scheduling and maintenance activities.

You will coach employees, manage shift operations, and collaborate with site leadership to meet production goals while maintaining compliance with plant policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) with at least two years of manufacturing or production experience, OR High School diploma/GED with at least four years of experience.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership roles is preferred, with project/team leadership backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization, organizational and computer skills; ability to work in a team and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe and sustainable working environment and lead safety investigations.
• Schedule work priorities, coordinate maintenance, allocate tasks and monitor workflow.
• Coach and develop employees, provide feedback and administer corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee shift coverage and participation in hiring processes as part of plant leadership.
• Monitor production metrics and apply continuous improvement methods to improve quality and efficiency.
