Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company in Lino Lakes, MN, to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily shop floor operations, lead a team of 50–80 production employees, and help ensure production, quality, safety, and on-time delivery goals are achieved.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing or machining
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Strong CNC knowledge, tooling, and production workflows
• Willingness to lift up to 50 pounds and work with PPE

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to achieve production goals, optimize capacity, and maintain on-time delivery
• Lead, train, coach, and mentor a team of 50–80 CNC machinists, operators, and production support employees
• Monitor WIP, identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints, and resolve production and scheduling issues
• Partner with Planning/Scheduling, Commercial, Quality, Engineering, Department Leads, CNC Programmers, and Operators to align production priorities with customer commitments
• Ensure machining processes, SOPs, quality requirements, company policies, and safety procedures are followed
• Support machining process improvements, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, tooling, workholding, and fixture readiness
• Track production metrics and lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 annually

Schedule: Full-time | Minimum 45 hours per week | Flexibility required to support 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional weekends

What You'll Do as a Manufacturing Supervisor:

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to achieve production goals, optimize capacity, and maintain on-time delivery
• Lead, train, coach, and mentor a team of 50–80 CNC machinists, operators, and production support employees
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints, and proactively resolve production and scheduling issues
• Partner with Planning/Scheduling, Commercial, Quality, Engineering, Department Leads, CNC Programmers, and Operators to align production priorities with customer commitments
• Ensure machining processes, SOPs, quality requirements, company policies, and safety procedures are consistently followed
• Support machining process improvements, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, tooling, workholding, and fixture readiness
• Track production metrics and lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Need to Bring to the Manufacturing Supervisor Role:

• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, production workflows, and process optimization
• Working knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on management style
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and gloves
