Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, located in Louisville, KY, seeks a Quality Plant Floor Leader - Assembly Areas to own daily quality metrics and drive continuous improvement across shifts. You will lead the team, monitor SCR, yield, OGR, scrap, and ensure quality plan compliance within the production system.

You will coordinate root-cause analysis, coach leaders, and ensure qualified operators are on the job to reduce defects and improve productivity. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS Technical degree or comparable experience.
• Six Sigma training / Green Belt Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing/operations.
• Proven ability to influence and drive change.
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Excel and new systems.
• Strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills.
• High initiative and teamwork; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day ownership of plant quality metrics (SCR, Yield, OGR, Scrap, Quality plan).
• Set strategy for management and quality analysts across all shifts.
• Promote continuous improvement in technical processes and standard work.
• Monitor scrap/yield and repair data to identify trends and drive resolutions.
• Drive CTQ compliance and ensure qualified operators are on the job.
• Lead hourly quality team, manage timecards, training and performance issues.
• Coordinate recall and calibration procedures as needed.
• Review production/testing reports and respond to failures to prevent early excursions.
