Job summary
Skydio, a leading US drone company, seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead manufacturing processes for current and next-gen autonomous products. You will drive operational excellence, optimize labor, and scale processes from NPI to high-volume production.
You will design production layouts, set labor standards with time studies, improve OEE, and mentor engineers while partnering with design, quality, supply chain, and test teams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of manufacturing process development across the full product lifecycle.
- Experience conducting time studies using MOST/MODAPTS or PMTS.
- Strong standard work, labor balancing, and work measurement knowledge.
- Capacity analysis, line balancing, and OEE improvement experience.
- Lean manufacturing proficiency and Kaizen experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for safe and high-quality production.
- Lead NPI activities from prototype through mass production with layouts and tooling plans.
- Create and maintain standardized work instructions and documentation.
- Perform time studies to establish labor standards and identify productivity improvements.
- Analyze OEE, cycle times, and throughput to maximize equipment utilization.
- Lead cross-functional Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve ergonomics.
