Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Head of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the development and scale-up of our high-volume manufacturing for autonomous aircraft. This leader will own the manufacturing engineering organization, driving automation, controls, equipment development, and production readiness.

You will partner with Design, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to design for manufacturability, build scalable systems, and establish data-driven, instrumented production environments that deliver

Qualifications

• Experience scaling complex electromechanical products into high-volume production.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing automation and controls, and data integration.
• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing engineering organization from NPI to high-volume production.
• Define the manufacturing strategy, roadmap, and capabilities to support growth.
• Partner with Design, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, automation, and scale.
• Establish standards, FAT/SAT, and production-readiness Criteria.
