Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a hands-on technical engineer for our manufacturing team to bridge manufacturing to engineering. You will analyze manufacturing data, drive actions on yield, retest, and test time, and improve line efficiency and product quality.

You will design and build test hardware/software, collaborate with product, manufacturing, and software teams, and lead investigations using the MES to find root causes and implement scalable automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years focused on NPI test development.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing test readiness for an entire product line.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing operations, and software teams to collect requirements and roll out a robust test sequence.
• Design and implement new test equipment to enable scalable, reliable manufacturing via automation.
• Lead investigations to resolve production issues using the MES to analyze historical data and determine root causes.
