Job summary

Hypertherm Associates in Hanover, NH is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations to guide a 220-person organization across manufacturing, process engineering, and maintenance. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, driving safety, quality, and cost-effective performance while aligning operations with enterprise goals.

Relocation assistance is available; occasional travel to suppliers is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and 7 years of operations leadership experience.
• Hazardous Waste Training (RCRA) may be necessary for this role
• Demonstrated leadership in a high-tech, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Understanding of supply chain management in JIT environments
• Demonstrated success with Lean and/or Six Sigma projects
• Track record of creating an engaging environment and developing others
• Expertise with Capacity Planning
• Capital equipment budgeting, justification, and implementation experience
• Intermediate project management experience
• Financial, data, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work across boundaries

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a large, cross-functional organization across manufacturing and technical teams.
• Build an engaged, high-performing culture emphasizing associate well-being and development.
• Grow organizational capability with talent pipelines and training plans.
• Advance operational excellence through continuous-improvement initiatives with CI Team.
• Lead strategic safety planning and maintain a safe work environment.
• Embed quality at the source and resolve quality concerns before customers.
• Optimize flow, capacity, and delivery; manage inventory and capacity gaps.
• Own the manufacturing 18-month financial plan and ROI for capital proposals.
• Influence new product development and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Turn data into action by tracking metrics and sponsoring improvement projects.
• Deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
