Job summary

Carrier in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations – Water Cooled to lead a key value stream onsite five days a week. The role oversees manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, scheduling, and continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will drive strategic operations, mentor leaders, and partner with customers to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a technical field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience; or an Advanced Degree with at least 8 years.
• 3+ years experience leading leaders, managers, and cross-functional teams.
• 3+ years managing manufacturing operations, plant operations, or value stream performance.
• 3+ years in production systems, manufacturing engineering, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Preferred: HVAC/industrial equipment experience; Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations for an assigned value stream, meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support growth and customer requirements.
• Drive cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and sequencing to maximize throughput.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, suppliers and customers.
• Direct manufacturing engineering and implement process improvements; champion automation.
• Establish objectives and ensure targets are achieved; mentor managers and leaders.
• Partner with customers to understand needs and ensure exceptional service levels.
