Job summary

The Senior Operations Manager at AMETEK, Inc.'s Collegeville facility leads daily manufacturing operations, guiding production supervisors and teams to safe, efficient, high-quality tubing products. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading production teams in a highly regulated or precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and performance management systems.
• Proven ability to lead through supervisors and drive accountability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with production planning, KPI management, budgeting, and labor management in a union environment.
• Experience in metals, tubing, medical device, aerospace, or other precision manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production departments and shifts.
• Drive a culture of safety and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Establish and monitor operational performance metrics including throughput, productivity, quality, on-time delivery, scrap, and labor utilization.
• Develop production plans and allocate resources to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Lead and develop production supervisors, leads, and hourly employees to improve organizational capability and accountability.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and efficiency.
• Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability, capacity, and process performance.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools to eliminate waste and improve operational effectiveness.
• Support annual operating plans and manage departmental spending within budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements.
• Participate in capital planning, production expansion projects, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Foster employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations in a manufacturing environment.
